Alcohol and Drug Training Options

The training schedule from now to end of December 2010 has now been released.  This training has been funded by the Department of Health to support the Minimum Qualifications Strategy and with the exception of higher education scholarships is provided at no cost to the sector.

Vocational Education & Training

  • CHCAOD402A Work effectively in the AOD sector (Online Training)
  • CHCAOD406D Work with clients who are intoxicated (Online Training)
  • CHCAOD408A Assess needs of clients with alcohol and/or other drugs issues (Face to Face Training)
  • CHCMH401A  Work effectively in mental health settings (Face to Face Training)

Professional Development Training

  • Working with Groups
  • Psychostimulants
  • Pharmacotherapies
  • Advanced Counselling

Higher Education

  • Twenty 80% scholarships  for completion of the Graduate Certificate in AOD studies
