Dear service providers,
EACH Training is running a 2 day workshop for workers interested in attending a Suicide Intervention Training Course known as ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training). The first of the ASIST Workshops will be held on Thu and Fri 16 & 17 September 2010 and the other on Thu and Fri 7 & 8 October 2010. Both workshops will be at the Eastern Ranges GP Association, 21-23 Maroondah Highway in Croydon.
The training equips people to help persons at risk of suicide keep safe and access further support.
Learning may be applied with family and friends, work and team mates, in professional roles and volunteering.
The ASIST workshop is open to anyone at a cost of $295.00 plus GST.
The course includes:
- Training materials
- Morning and Afternoon teas and Lunch
- A CD with additional readings and resources
- A copy of a book Undiagnosed: UP UNTIL NOW by Rod Groenhuizen – “a deeply moving story of a man intent on baring his soul”. This book includes a bonus CD and was donated by the author’s mum Val Groenhuizen – Please request a copy when you make your registration
- Certificate of Attendance

Please note: Attendance at the workshop is not confirmed until a completed registration form is submitted. Attendance on both these days is mandatory.
