Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT)
The AUDIT is a screening tool that aims to identify people whose level of alcohol consumption is harmful to their health. It is a 10-item questionnaire that takes approximately 2 minutes to go through and 1 minute to score. The AUDIT should be administered by a clinician after training.
The CAGE Questionnaire is an alcoholism detecting tool. It gets administered in one minute with immediate scoring. The CAGE Questionnaire does not require training.
Michigan Alcoholism Screening Test (MAST)
The MAST is a screening tool for lifetime alcohol related issues. It is a 25-items questionnaire and takes 10 minutes for administration and 5 minutes for scoring. It does not require training.
