Ministry of Health New Zealand has recently published two important gudance documents for co-occurring disorders.
Service Delivery for People with Co-existing Mental Health and Addiction Problems - Integrated Solutions 2010 provides advice for provision of more integrated care to people with co-occurring mental health and substance use issues.
The Assessment and Management of People with Co-existing Mental Health and Substance Use Problems 2010 presents a clinical framework to assist health professionals working with people with co-occurring mental health and substance use issues.
