Worker Subsidy Grants for Rural & Remote Workers to Attend NIDAC Conference - Applications by 15th March

NIDAC has funding to support workers from rural and remote areas to attend the NIDAC Conference.

NIDAC recognises there are individuals in rural and remote Australia working to address harmful Indigenous alcohol and drug use who often find it difficult to take up opportunities that assist them in keeping abreast of the latest knowledge and best practices being used within the field across Australia. Workers are also often isolated from other workers in the AOD sector.

To support these workers who otherwise may not be able to attend the Conference, applications are now being accepted.

As funding is limited and NIDAC wants to support as many workers as possible to attend the Conference, workers will need to demonstrate that their employer is also contributing to the costs associated with attending the Conference. A letter of support will also be required from the worker's employer.

Applications from mental health consumers who may experience harmful drug and alcohol use issues or their carers are also encouraged.

The Worker Subsidy Application package can be obtained from worker subsidy application and from the Conference website www.nidaconference.com.au under Registrations.
