  • VAADA Comorbidity E-news

First Response Forums, organised by the EDAS Family Focus Project's, will focus on coexistence of substance use and mental health issues.

First Response Forum is a 120 minute psycho-education session for families and carers who:
• may not be ready for therapy
• require information about alcohol and other drugs
• require information about dual diagnosis impacts on the family
• require information about available support services
• need assistance navigating the service system.

The forums are free of cost and all participants will receive a resource handbook and relevant brochures at the forum. Each participant will also receive a follow up phone call to answer any outstanding questions. A light supper is provided.

Participants will also be invited to attend a follow up single session of counselling and/or be linked in with EDAS Family Services as requested.
