NADA - the Network of Alcohol and other Drugs Agencies launched Tools for Change: A new way of working with families and carers at the recent "Outside In: Community Responses to Complex and Diverse Needs" conference in Sydney. The toolkit was developed to assist non-government drug and alcohol services working with families and carers of clients with co-occurring mental health and drug and alcohol problems in accessing their services.
The toolkit is part of the Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol Family and Carer Project funded by the Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Office of NSW Health.
This great resource provides accessible information on interventions, practice tips, service models, resources and training organisations to assist services in working with families in NSW. Additionally, the reader can access template policies for working with families, a family inclusive practice workplace audit, assessment tools and checklists.
Click here to download the toolkit.
Contact Robert Stirling on (02) 8113 1320 or robert@nada.org.au for further information on the Family and Carer Project.
