Some of you may have already seen this resource: The MAP Training Project developed by Southern Synergy, which is, part of the School of Psychology, Psychiatry and Psychological Medicine (Monash University) and is based at Southern Health Mental Health Services, at the Dandenong Hospital in Victoria. Southern Synergy Beyond Blue funded the MAP Training Project.
This outstanding training resource takes a novel approach to the provision of information and training. It challenges the view that online learning is tedious and non-profitable for the learner.
The CD Rom provides the non-medical workforce with information about mental health and the mental health service system. It includes modules on:
• The Mental Health Service System, it history and development to date
• Mental Health
• Mental Illness & Recovery Anxiety
• Depression
• Assessment & Referral
• Risk Assessment
• Community Attitudes & Stigma
• The Local Community
• Policy & Legal
