Tony Trimingham founded Family Drug Support following the death of his son, Damien, from a heroin overdose at age of 23. Tony authored a book 'Not My Family, Never My Child - What to do if someone you love is a drug user', a practical guide to helping, supporting and coping with the addiction of the loved one.

In 2008 Tony received the Prime Minister's Award for Alcohol and Drug Treatment Excellence.
