Closing the Gap Forum
10th June 2011, 12-4pm
Keynote Speaker: Richard Franklin.
The Forum will enable participants from a wide range of organisations and interests, to consider how the local community is working to close the gap in the lifespan between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-operative's ‘Closing The Gap' Co-coordinator will explain what is happening locally. The Forum will seek to inform, raise awareness of the issues locally, and inspire all sectors of the community to work toward the common goal of closing the gap. Issues covered will include: housing, health, employment, justice, economic participation and early childhood. A range of speakers will address the forum followed by discussion amongst those present.
Venue: Rumbalara Football Netball Club, Shepparton
